Christina Ruth Beloe was born in England on the 20th January 1973.

After an Art Foundation Course at the Isle College, Wisbech, Cambs. (1992), Ruth attended Buckingham University from 1993, graduating BA(Hons) in History of Art and Heritage Management (1995).

Prior to the degree course she visited the British Institute, Florence for a short introductory course on the Italian Renaissance and, whilst there, chose to spend some time at Charles H. Cecil Studios. She returned to that school after graduation and remained in Florence until November 1998 studying portrait and figurative drawing, painting and sculpture.

After one year spent as Artist in Residence at the King’s School, Ely, Ruth has been working from her studio concentrating on figurative sculpture and portrait drawings.
